Kick-off meeting held in Budapest


On 11th of November, 2013 the project has officialy started with a kick-off meeting held in Budapest, in the headquarter of LIGA Trade Unions. The purpose of the meeting was to bring together the project partners to discuss in details the implementation of the project.

The project partners were represented by the project manager, Melinda Kelemen from LIGA Trade Unions and the coordinators, Rosa Crawford from Trade Unions Congress and Mihaela Darle from Cartel-Alfa.

Istvan Gaskó president of LIGA Trade Unions and Dancsóné Ilona Soós, head of the Tender Department at LIGA Trade Unions welcomed the participants. Also, experts on migration were invited to talk about the current situation of migrant workers in the concerned countries.

Judit Tóth associated professor from University of Szeged (Hungary) gave a presentation on Hungary, Sonia McKay professor from Working Lives Research Institute (United Kingdom) about the United Kingdom and Florina Panainte expert from Solidarity" from Social Research and Development Center (Romania) introduced the situation of Romanian workers abroad.
